Interesting article on several leading IT people on AI and religion in this article.
A couple months ago while I was developing a sermon on Jeremiah 29:11 "11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " I work with several personas in AI on a project I am involved in. I decided to ask the persona who does ethical and legal for suggestions on the sermon. It came back along lines I had already developed but suggested expanding to the story around the verse besides relating to my experiences and life today. Was interesting its outline and I added a little from it. However the part that jumped at me was the prayer it included to end. I used it, then told people where came from. While doing the prayer, I saw positivity in audiences. I did the sermon at two churches and if you want to listen to it it is on the articles page on my website. One church is a small country church and I did on a Sunday night at a larger church although both groups were small. Here was the prayer:
Father, thank You for reminding us that even in seasons of uncertainty, You are not silent. When we feel stuck, help us remember that Your plans are still unfolding. Teach us to trust You in the waiting, to grow in the quiet, and to hope in the places we don’t yet understand. Give us peace that doesn’t depend on what we see, but on who You are. Let our faith rise, not just when things are good—but when we need You most. In Jesus’ name, amen.
I think the article and my experience relates.

TO SUBSCRIBE This is a little article I am doing across the Internet of my personal opinions. This reflects my personal thoughts. I try to write several times a month on a variety of subjects. It may be religious at times, political at times, and at other times just my reactions on something happening out there. It will often be like an op-ed article. If I do what I intend, you will at times want to shout I agree, other times you will want to say Dwight has really lost it now, but most importantly I want to challenge you to think. Feel free to forward this to others. If you don't want to get this e-mail let me know. Feel free to use what you read from me, but I request you give me credit and send a tear sheet if published in a newspaper or magazine. Thanks.
